Objectives

  • Review the march of West Coast terminal development to understand how access to LNG volumes will unfold.

  • Consider the emergence of new LNG supplies in the Pacific and Middle East to determine what LNG might be available to West Coast markets from Canada to Chile.

  • Review Asian market growth, especially in such new markets as India, China, and Singapore, to determine how Asian markets will compete with markets in the Americas.

  • Inventory and profile the current North American West Coast market, especially California and Manzanillo, to better understand how inbound LNG may affect pipeline supplies.

  • Consider the growth of Rocky Mountain gas relative to delivered LNG prices.

  • Gain an understanding of how LNG supplies and gas markets will integrate from Prince Rupert to Salina Cruz.
