A senior manager and global energy consultant,
Mr. LaStrapes brings the leadership necessary
to take complex energy deals to fruition. He has
developed world-class integrated energy projects
with investments/revenues in the $billions and
has established new international business platforms
in rapidly evolving energy markets. He brings
experience in leading multi-disciplinary international
development and asset acquisition teams. Mr. LaStrapes
brings a deep background in project development,
project/structured finance, due-diligence, risk
mitigation, contracts, operations, energy policy
and strategic planning.
Mr. LaStrapes is managing director of Zeus Development
Corporation. Prior to joining Zeus, Mr. LaStrapes
served in various management roles, including
President and member of the board of directors
of Texas-Ohio Power, VP/Principal of EnerTran
Technology Company, VP of Heartland Development
Corporation and VP/General Manager of Entra Technologies.
As a global energy consultant, he has testified
before state (provincial) and federal authorities
and has prepared expert testimony in contested
proceedings. A partial list of client services
includes: (1) global market research and broad-based
value-chain analysis of the markets for natural
gas via LNG, pipeline, CNG, GTL, gas-by-wire,
etc.; (2) economic studies of super-critical pulverized
coal and integrated gasification combined-cycle
power generation; (3) comparative economic studies
of competing major gas pipeline projects; (4)
linear programming model construction for gas-utility
planning purposes; (5) electric generation expansion
planning; (6) reservoir simulation, estimation
of proved hydrocarbon deposits and forecasting
of field deliverabilities; (7) economic studies
of liquefaction, LNG peak-shaving and regasification;
and (8) due-diligence on behalf of lenders and
developers in connection with non-recourse project
financing.
A registered professional engineer, Mr. LaStrapes
holds an MBA degree from the University of Houston
and a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas
A&M University.
Bob
Nimocks, president, Zeus Development Corporation
Zeus Development Corporation is an energy research
firm that focuses on world gas development. The
company commonly serves manufacturing and oilfield
service clients evaluating markets for their products
and services in the LNG, GTL, methanol, DME, IGCC
and gas-export-related markets. Zeus publishes
a number of market-related periodicals, including

and organizes workshops, conferences and training
programs.
Prior to founding Zeus in 1991, Nimocks was vice
president of corporate development for Elders
Resources North America, the North American division
of an international energy and natural resources
company with substantial natural gas production.
He earned an MBA from Harvard University (1987),
served in the management consulting division of
Accenture (1981-84) and obtained BS and BBA degrees
from Mississippi State University (1981).
Robert
Nussmeier, director of business development, Baker
Concrete Construction, Inc.
Bob is a graduate in Building Construction from
Purdue University. He has served or chaired several
technical committees for the American Concrete
Institute. Bob has spent over 22 years in different
management capacities for leading Concrete Construction
Product companies. After employment with the Scofield
and Master Builders Company, and working with
Baker since 1981, Bob joined Baker concrete construction
company, the largest full scope concrete service
subcontractor in the US.
Baker has been focused on the concrete constructability
issues for LNG terminals in the USA and supplied
many budgets and cost estimates for the different
build schemes being proposed for on shore and
off shore LNG storage tanks. Bob serves on the
Board for the National Ready-Mix Concrete Association
and is active in the Construction Industry Institute
and the American Society of Concrete Construction.
