Objectives & Approach

Workshop 1: Defining North American LNG Markets: The Viability of Mexico's Huge Lankahuasa & Kosni Discoveries
Review and discuss the commercial viability of development of the Lankahuasa, Kosni and other non-assocated gas fields offshore Mexico's Gulf Coast
Estimate the financing and timing necessary to develop these reserves
Discuss the success and challenges of Multiple Service Contracts (MSCs) at the Burgos Basin and the current political attitude in light of the upcoming presidential elections
Consider the application of MSCs to the Lankahuasa and Kosni field development efforts
Consider the impact of the Lankahuasa and Kosni discoveries on North American LNG imports and terminal development


Workshop 2:
Defining North American LNG Markets: Basis Risk for New U.S. Gulf Coast Terminals
Review the status of LNG receiving terminal development along the Mexican and U.S. Gulf Coast
Learn from three analyses that quantify the current production and decline rates in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi and consider the current pipeline infrastructure and capacity utilization.
Identify potential problems
Review pipeline expansions
Consider gas storage and/or gas processing opportunities
