Shipping Capacity - Where Are Charter Rates Headed?
- Review the supply and demand for LNG shipping capacity
- Discuss current charter rates and direction of the
market
- Consider solutions for surplus vessels (e.g, regas,
FSRU conversion, etc.)
- Review the schedule for new ship deliveries and
compare to new liquefaction capacity
- Discuss wild cards that could change the outlook
Day 2: Opening New LNG Markets
through the Safe and Commercial Transfer of Cargoes
from Ship to Ship
- Review the state of the technology and the current
initiatives to commercialize technology to transfer
LNG from ship to ship
- Discuss the implications of this for import and
export markets, from regas, to FSRU to barge fleets
- Review the technical and safety issues one needs
to consider
- Discuss a timeline for full-scale operation
