Tom
Chrisfield, NorthStar, Inc
Tom Chrisfield is the Vice President of Sales for NorthStar, Inc
in Evanston, WY. NorthStar is a turnkey provider of liquid natural
gas (LNG) and liquid-to-compressed natural gas (LCNG) refueling
facilities. Mr. Chrisfield has twelve years of experience in the
design and construction of such facilities.
Mr. Chrisfield received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical
Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in 1983. From 1984-1988,
he was employed by Dresser Atlas to perform wireline logs of producing
oil & gas wells. From 1988-1997, he worked at MVE as Quality
Engineer, Design Engineer, then Project Manager. Since 1997, Mr.
Chrisfield has performed Engineering and Technical Sales duties
with NorthStar. His hobbies are firefighting, glider flying, and
gardening.
William R. Luthern,
executive consultant, Levitan & Associates
William R. Luthern is an Executive Consultant with Levitan &
Associates, Inc. (LAI) in Boston, Massachusetts where he advises
clients on operations, strategic planning, and regulatory matters
as part of the firm's natural gas practice. Prior to joining LAI,
Mr. Luthern was Vice President of Production & Control for KeySpan
Energy Delivery, the largest natural gas distributor in the Northeast.
There he held enterprise-wide responsibility for LNG and LPG production
and storage operations, system control centers, meter stations and
pressure control facilities. Mr. Luthern also served as Vice President
of Gas Resources for the Eastern Enterprises LDC group ( comprised
of Boston Gas, Colonial Gas, Essex County Gas, and Energy North)
where he was responsible for all gas supply planning and acquisition
activities, supplemental gas operations, and U.S. / Canadian federal
regulatory matters. Mr. Luthern has also held senior management
responsibilities in sales, marketing, engineering and distribution
system operations
Mr. Luthern is a Director of the New England Canada Business Council
and a member of the Nova Scotia / Massachusetts Business Advisory
Council. He holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern
University and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University.
Jim O'Sullivan,
Technip
Jim
O'Sullivan is Senior Vice President of Strategy & Marketing
for Technip USA, the North American Business Unit of Technip, a
world leader in engineering and construction for the oil & gas
industry. Mr. O'Sullivan is responsible for developing business,
marketing and new product strategies for the Americas. He has 30
years of experience in the oil & gas industry, covering technology
development, engineering, project management, commercial project
development and multiple business related activities. He received
a BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University,
a Masters in Ocean Engineering from MIT, a Professional Ocean Engineers
Degree from MIT and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and an
MBA from Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business.
Walter
Sonne, VP, Moffatt & Nichol International
Mr. Walter Sonne, P.E. is a Vice President with Moffatt & Nichol
International in Houston, Texas. He is responsible for Oil and Gas
projects as well as the Houston office. Moffatt & Nichol is
a U.S. based engineering company focused on waterfront and marine
engineering. Mr. Sonne's experience includes the planning, permitting,
design and construction for over 50 port, harbor and marine terminal
projects. Early in his career, Mr. Sonne worked for Raymond International,
the EPC contractor for the marine facilities at Cove Point, Elba
Island and Trunkline LNG projects. Recent technical activities have
focused on the development of liquid bulk terminals including LNG,
LPG, GTL, and condensates, crude and refined products on a worldwide
basis. Mr. Sonne has an Undergraduate Degree in Ocean Engineering
from the Florida Institute of Technology as well as graduate studies
at the University of Houston in soil/structure interaction.
Gary
Van Tassel, President, Argent Marine Operations
Gary Van Tassel is the President of Argent Marine Operations an
affiliate company of the Argent Marine Companies. He has been with
Argent since 1990 and had responsibility for bringing the LNG tankers
Galeomma (ex Arzew) and LNG Delta (ex Southern) back into service
after a 20-year lay-up. The reactivation included significant modifications
and upgrades to bring the vessels into regulatory compliance and
allow for worldwide trading. Over a period of the past 10 years,
Gary has been involved in developing LNG barge designs and exploring
potential trade routes. Gary's experience in the marine transportation
of LNG dates back to the El Paso Algeria I project of the 1970's
where he was responsible for crew training and tanker cryogenic
systems. Gary is a Dual License, holding both deck and engineering
officer licenses, graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy were
he earned a BS in Marine Engineering and has an ME degree from Stevens
Institute of Technology in Ocean Engineering.
John
Wolff, director, LNG, Zeus Development Corporation John Wolff joined Zeus Development in 2004. He has over
30 years of experience in the energy business.
Prior to joining Zeus Development, he was a partner in Brett &
Wolff LLC. He prepared various studies on CNG, LNG and biogas. He
prepared an economic assessment and design evaluation for transporting
natural gas as either CNG or LNG on the Amazon River for American
Commercial Barge Lines and Petrobras. He contributed to Zeus' CNG
Ocean Transport Study 2004.
Mr. Wolff had also been the Manager of Business Development for
Panhandle Eastern's and then Duke Energy's LNG marketing and sales
business that imported LNG at the Trunkline LNG terminal. He prepared
models to improve business decisions in the business units that
included the affiliated LNG shipping business, the LNG importing/marketing
business and the Trunkline LNG terminal. He prepared joint venture
agreements and technology assessments to increase the profitability
of the Trunkline LNG terminal, including gas processing and cold
recovery projects. He helped structure short-term LNG purchase contracts
and assessed aspects of the long-term LNG contract between Duke
Energy and Sonatrach.
